Simon EmmettDuring her concert in Belgium Sunday night, Adele took a moment to pay tribute to the victims of the Orlando mass shooting.
“I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando at Pulse nightclub,” she told the crowd. “The LGBTQA community, they’re like my soulmates since I was really young, so I’m really moved by it.
She then became emotional, and joked, “I don’t know why I’m crying already because most of tonight is pretty miserable because my songs are f****** miserable.”
In other Adele news, David Bowie’s former producer, Tony Visconti, apologized for implying in a recent interview that Adele’s voice was manipulated on her records.
“I’m sorry that what I said in regards to what’s being played on radio was misconstrued yet I cannot apologize for something taken the wrong way,” he tells Billboard. “If Adele has taken my comments as offensive that was certainly not my intent. Adele has a great voice and it brings pleasure to millions.”
