Two people were injured in a two vehicle accident late Thursday morning, September 1st, morning on Illinois Highway 96, a tenth of a mile North of Hancock County Road 750, South of Warsaw.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s office a vehicle driven by 47 year old Kimberly Corrigan of Ursa was traveling South on Highway 96 when approaching and following a Illinois Department of Transportation truck that was repainting the center line. Then a vehicle driven by 51 year old Tamela Hilderbrand of Mendon, Illinois approached and struck the Corrigan vehicle in the rear sending it to the ditch. The Hilderbrand vehicle went to the side of the road.

Corrigan was transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy by private transportation. A passenger, 89 year old, Glenn Orr of Warsaw was taken by Hancock County EMS to Blessing Hospital in Quincy. Hildebrand was not injured. Assisting at the scene was the Warsaw Fire and Police Departments. The accident is under investigation.
