The Keokuk Chiefs returned to action on the volleyball court Thursday night, September 8th, falling to Mt. Pleasant in three sets at Mt. Pleasant. The Chiefs had snapped a 2 match losing streak, picked up their first win of the year a week ago against Washington. But last night Mt. Pleasant downed the Chiefs 25-12, 25-13 and 26-24. In the match Keokuk was led by freshman Isabel Vandenberg with 5 kills. Michaela Davis had 19 of the teams 34 digs to lead the club in that category. And Abby Arrowwood had the only block for the chiefs, plus she went 11 of 12 serving with 2 aces to pace the club at the service line. The Chiefs are back in action Saturday, September 10th, when they travel to Burlington to face Regina, Danville and Centerville in a round robin tournament.
