The Iowa Fertilizer Plant is in its final stages of construction as 2016 closes out. Iowa Fertilizer Company has announced that the Wever plant is 98% complete and will begin ammonia production startups this week. The startup process for the plant will take place over the next few weeks and nearby residents can expect several new occurrences at the plant as a result. Steam venting, increased lighting, and natural gas flares will now become a regular occurrence at the plant. The 2 billion dollar plant is expected to deliver 1.5 to 2 million metric tons of fertilizer products per year.
