Keokuk Track Coach Previews Upcoming Season

With the varsity track meet set to enter the outdoor portion of its schedule next week, Keokuk High School Head Track Coach Matt McGhghy spoke about what type of team he expects to field this year. While the head coach feels he has definite areas of strength on his roster, he also knows the team will have work to do this year to round out their skill as a team. The Chiefs track teams have already competed in two indoor meets at Illinois college and Cornell College and McGhghy feels that the strong competition they have seen can only help them as the year goes on. Next up for the girls track team will be a 5 team meet at Columbus Community High School next Friday while the boys will be back in action March 27th with a relay meet at West Burlington High School.
