Two of Keokuk’s historic entities are teaming up for a murder mystery dinner theater. The Great River Players will perform Café Murder in conjunction with America’s First Great Dam Museum Thursday and Friday night. Both the GRP and the Dam Museum will split the proceeds from the sale of tickets to the production which cost 35 dollars apiece and include dinner catered by Angelini’s Ristorante Italiano. Dam Museum Treasurer Kathy Asbury explained how the idea for the fundraiser came together.
Longtime speech arts instructor at Keokuk High School Dave Wendt will direct the murder mystery for the Great River Players and he feels this type of theater will be a hit in Keokuk.
The Café Murder production will take place at 6:30PM Thursday and Friday at the America’s First Great Dam Museum.
