The first Saturday of November means one unique annual fundraiser returns to Keokuk. The Keokuk Area Hospital Auxiliary is all set to host its yearly Christmas Tea and Bazaar at the First Christian Church in Keokuk Saturday. Some new items are set to make their debut at the Tea and Bazaar and Auxiliary Co-Chair Tali Froman explained that this year’s auction will be done a little differently for the first time.
Froman was joined by fellow co-chair Angie Manarang who explained that the planning and preparation for the Tea and Bazaar began over the summer in June with the help of many members donating their time to make it a reality.
This year’s Tea and Bazaar will begin Saturday at 9AM at the First Christian Church in Keokuk and the proceeds will go to help Unity Point Health Systems purchase a new vital signs monitoring machine for the hospital operating room.
