Thursday night marks the biggest fundraising day of the year for the Central Lee Future Farmers of America Organization. The Central Lee FFA students just returned home last week from the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis and now this week they will take part in the yearly FFA Auction at Central Lee High School. Thursday night a record-high 110 Central Lee Students will step up to the auction block.
Central Lee Senior Katie Burdette explained that she had an unexpected benefit from being auctioned off as part of last year’s labor auction.
The official flyer for the Central Lee Labor auction states that students are indeed expected to work for 8 hours for whoever bids the highest for them and anyone who wishes to come to the auction is welcome. The fundraiser begins at 5:30PM Thursday at Central Lee Gymnasium with a complimentary chili and soup supper with the auction itself kicking off at 6:30PM.
