James William Hull, 76, of Elvaston, passed away at 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening, November 12, 2017 at Sunset Home in Quincy.
James was born March 3, 1941, the son of William “Bill” and Guinevere (Gorby) Hull in Bowen, Illinois. He had farmed and worked at ZetaPlastic in Macomb. On December 9, 1981, he was united in marriage to Alma Smith. She survives. James was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Carthage.
James is survived by his wife, Alma Hull of Elvaston; one son, Brad (Sue) Hull of Elvaston; three grandchildren, Patty Lamma, Jessica Spoores and Pamela Beaver; and great grandchildren, Jayden, Ethan, Kaydence, Danny, Jr., Desiree, Ashley, Tyson and Phillip “Ray Ray”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Heather Hull; and a sister, Marge.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 17, 2017, at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Carthage with burial to follow in the Elvaston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 at the Calvary Assembly of God Church. Memorials may be directed to the family of James W. Hull. Printy Funeral Home of Carthage is in charge of arrangements.
