Baird Risdon

Baird Risdon, 71, of Carthage, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

Baird was born in Carthage, Illinois, on August 30, 1952. He was the son of Robert Risdon and Mary Baird. He graduated from Carthage High School and completed his bachelor’s degree. Baird worked many jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed computers and surfing the web. He was an avid reader. Baird liked to play his guitar and even dabbled in a little acting in his younger years.

Baird is survived by his first cousin, Mike Baird of Peoria, Arizona, as well as many other first cousins, he is also survived by his good friends, Mark Fox of Carthage, Illinois, and Alan Brown of Montana.

He is preceded by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 29, at Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 28, from 4 – 7 PM at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Memorials may be made out to Carthage Public Library. Printy Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
