Christina Marie Ikerd, 41, of Warsaw, passed away at 5:20 AM Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
Christina was born March 18, 1983, the daughter of John and Wendy (Shallenberger) Ikerd, in Keokuk, Iowa. Christina graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in Keokuk in 2001 and went on to receive her associate degree in child development from Carl Sandberg College and Quincy University. She had worked for Bridgeway in Keokuk and was currently working as a home health care provider for Help at Home Health Care in Quincy. Whether mushrooming, fishing, or camping, Christina loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed crafts, especially bracelet making and swimming. She was a kind and gentle person that never complained and loved helping others. She will be greatly missed.
Christina is survived by two children, David Jacan Rogers and Rosalie Annmarie Rogers; siblings, Dawn (Jody) Johnson of Hamilton and Bradley Ikerd of Elvaston; her former husband, David Rogers of Warsaw; grandfather, Harold Ikerd; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her unborn child; grandparents, Herbert and Carolyn Shallenberger and Judy Ikerd.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2024, at the First Christian Church in Keokuk with burial to follow in the Elvaston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday evening at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton. Memorials may be directed to the family of Christian Ikerd. Printy Funeral Home of Hamilton is in charge of arrangements.
