John William Lindsay, Jr. of LaGrange, MO, passed away at 1:08 pm, Friday, on March 28, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

There will be no services at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange, MO.

John was born December 7, 1960, in Cadiz, Kentucky, to John Lindsay Sr. and Mae Alice Blane. He was previously married to Lenna Perkins Lindsay in 1984, in California.

Survivors include his father, significant other, Stephanie Jones of LaGrange, MO, children, Jarred Lindsay of Los Angeles, CA, Jonathan Lindsay of Los Angeles, CA, Joseph Lindsay of Quincy, IL, Elaina Reese of Quincy, IL, sister, Mary Lindsay of Cadiz, KY, granddaughter, Lola Lindsay and a host of nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his mother, and bothers, Jerry Lindsay and Loyld Henry Lindsay.

John was employed by Wispak Bottling in Quincy, IL. John enjoyed traveling to Catalina Island. He had a love for Sci-Fi and History and enjoyed watching basketball and was a supporter of UK basketball. His appreciation for R&B music filled his surroundings with rhythm and soul, creating memories that will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

John’s love for life was infectious. He loved life and his optimism never waned. John’s legacy is one of happiness, hope, and the enduring power of a smile. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
