Vickie L. Evans Eichor, 68, of Durham, MO, passed away at 5:09 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2025, at her home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, MO. Burial will follow at Hydesburg Cemetery in Hannibal, MO.
Friends and Family are invited to Vickie’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, MO.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ball-Davis Funeral Home in Ewing, MO.
Vickie was born on February 6, 1957, in Quincy, IL, to James A. Evans Sr. and Violet Turnbaugh Evans. She was married to Raymond Eichor on June 16, 1979, in Quincy, IL. He survives.
Other survivors include her daughter, Michele Logsdon of Richmond, MO, sisters, Linda Sue Green of Waco, TX, Kathy Evans of Quincy IL, Jackie Spidle of Quincy, IL, Cindy Robinson of Springfield, IL, brother, Jimmy Evans of Quincy, IL, grandson, Jeffrey Dallas LeMatty of Richmond, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Christopher Raymond Eichor, niece, Jenny Green, and brother-in-law, Gerald Green.
Vickie was a dedicated and proud homemaker, a role she cherished and excelled in throughout her life.
Vickie’s enjoyment for life was evident in her diverse interests. She was light on her feet, often found dancing. She also enjoyed the tunes of the Bee Gees and Elvis. An avid fisher, she also found solace in the tranquility of nature. Her hands were rarely still, as she delighted in sewing, crocheting, and crafting, with her paintings reflecting her creative spirit. Vickie’s love for her dogs was unparalleled, and she was an enthusiastic reader, with a particular interest in the Bible, Native Americans, and the life of Princess Diana. Vickie was a talented baker, especially her homemade fudge.
A generous, selfless, and funny person, Vickie’s legacy of love and laughter will be cherished by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be James Eichor, Sam Eichor, Kenny Pryor, Philip Logue, and Mike Schmidt.
