obert W. Collier, Jr., 77, of Keokuk, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
Bob was born on June 30, 1947, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Robert, Sr., and Helen (Breckel) Collier. In 1966, he joined the United States Navy, serving his country until 1970, when he received his honorable discharge. His military career was admirable, and he continued to honor other veterans by attending memorials at Keokuk National Cemetery. In February of 1970, he was united in marriage to Barbara. She survives. He worked much of his life at Sheller-Globe (Henniges) until his retirement. In his free time, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, and served at First Baptist Church as a deacon.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara of Keokuk; his son Joseph of Keokuk; his brother Raymond (Susan) Collier of Chula Vista, California; his sister Margaret (Robert Sr.) Kokjohn of Fort Madison, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Keokuk. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm at the church directly before the service.
