Mary Lee McCamant, 79 of Montrose, IA passed away Friday, August 29, 2025.

She was born on January 16, 1946 in Keokuk, IA to Kenneth Paul Rader and Catherine Madgeline (Dunn) Mary was the youngest child of 6 children.

On February 22,1964 Mary married her high school sweetheart and first love, Claude Johnson Yoe Jr. (John) Together they had three children, Missy, Johnny and Joey. They made their lives in Cedar Rapids and Shellsburg, Iowa. They were married until John’s death on December 01, 1978.

On May 06, 1989 she married William “Bill” Vayne McCamant in Montrose, IA where they made their home together. They enjoyed taking their boat out on the river with family and friends. Mary loved sewing and making crafts from quilts, dolls, to stuffed animals. She could be found early in the mornings with her cup of coffee working on a crossword puzzle. Following Bill’s passing on June 12, 2005, Mary continued to live in Montrose, IA until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s as mentioned above, four siblings, Catherine Arlene, Paul Andrew, Allan William, Ellen Irene, her youngest son Joseph Arthur on January 13, 2020, her middle grandson Matthew Scott Cooper on December 21, 2023 and her best friend and sister-in-law Phyllis (Yoe) Lewis on October 26, 2024.

Mary will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her daughter Melissa (Michael) Ehrmantraut of Powell, WY, her son John Everett Yoe of Cedar Rapids, IA, grandsons Christopher Alan Cooper Jr. of Powell, WY and Gavin Lee Hasper of Donnellson, IA, her brother Edward Rader of Keokuk, IA special nieces Tammy Rudd of Donnellson, IA, Wendy (Rader) Kelly of Keokuk, IA and LuAnn (Rader) Godfrey of McCalla, AL and several other family members.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donates be made to the Hospice Home in West Burlington, IA.
