Anthony L. Masacco, Jr.

Anthony L. Masacco, Jr., 52, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Illinois.

Anthony was born on July 14, 1973, in Canton, Illinois, the son of Anthony Masacco, Sr., and Susie (Wirebaugh) Berntson. On July 20, 1996, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Lisenbee in Carthage, Illinois. She survives.

Anthony enjoyed spending his days watching TV, especially wrestling, and driving his friends and family wherever they needed to go. He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Anthony collected knives, Coca-Cola products and dragons. Above all else, Anthony loved his family, especially his wife.

Anthony is survived by his wife Charlotte Masacco of Macomb, Illinois; his mother Susie Berntson of Macomb; two daughters: Adria Hartrick of Urbandale, Iowa, and Antonea Masacco of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; ten siblings: Sheri Toumbs, Carl Bay, Mary Mobely, Donna Cox, Zorah Parker, Kim Eddington, Vicky Eddington, Larry Paul Eddington, Chris Eddington and Lee Masacco; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anthony is preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of his life will be held at The Macomb Fieldhouse, 254 S Collins Ave Macomb, IL, 61455, from 11:30a-2:30p on Sunday, February 1st, 2026.
