Denise R. Boyer

Denise Rae Boyer, 65, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1960 in Fort Madison, IA to Don F. & Donna L. Wright Hall. She married Jay John Boyer on October 4, 1980 in Fort Madison, IA. She was the president of Hall Towing and was very dedicated to her work. She was very religious and took steps to become a minister later in her life. She served on the Southeast Iowa Regional Port Authority Board of Directors, was a member of the Fort Madison Eagles Club and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye & Green Bay Packer fan and rarely missed watching a game. She enjoyed cooking, especially cooking outdoors with her husband. She enjoyed the outdoors very much and loved to go mushroom hunting, boating, going on classic car rides and spending time with her dogs. Her family was her passion.

Denise is survived by: her husband: Jay Boyer of West Point, IA; 1-daughter: Nysha (Taylor) Kegley of Castle Pines, CO; 1-son: Travis (Sally) Boyer of West Point, IA; 1-granddaughter: Brooke Boyer of West Point, IA & 1-brother: Clip Hall of Wever, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
