Lee Francis Wayland, 76, of Revere, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka.

He was born July 11, 1949, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the son of Leland Ragan and Edna May Smith Wayland. He graduated from Clark County High School with the Class of 1967.

Lee was a hardworking man who spent many years farming and operating Wayland Stone in Wayland, Missouri, until his retirement in 2025. He took great pride in his work and in the friendships he made throughout the years.

An avid outdoorsman, Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved trapshooting. He had been a member of the ATA Trapshooting Association since 1982 and earned the distinction of becoming a 27-yard shooter. Lee also generously gave of his time helping the Clark County Trap Team and supporting local FFA activities, encouraging and mentoring many young shooters over the years.

He is survived by his longtime companion and the love of his life, Dena Christy of Revere; his children, Ronald Wayland and Jennifer Wayland; and four grandchildren, Hailey, Bobby, Taylor, and Jordyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Shelby Whitney officiating. Burial will follow in Peaksville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the family meeting with friends during that time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wolf Cemetery.
