Kate Hudson and boyfriend welcome a baby girl

J. Countess/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Kate Hudson and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, have welcomed their first child together — a baby girl named Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.

The actress shared the news on Instagram Wednesday, with a message that read simply, “She’s here.” In addition to the baby’s name, the post also revealed the girl was born on October 2.

“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” the post continued. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.”

“Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back,” she wrote.

The Almost Famous actress, 39, has two sons from previous relationships — 14-year-old Ryder with ex-husband, the Black Crows’ Chris Robinson, and seven-year-old Bingham with ex-fiancé Matthew Bellamy, the lead singer of Muse.
