Export inspections down on week

The USDA says grain and oilseed export inspections dipped during the week ending February 24th, due in part to Presidents’ Day. The 2021/22 marketing year started June 1st, 2021 for wheat and September 1st, 2021 for corn, sorghum, and soybeans. The USDA’s next set of supply and demand estimates is out March 9th. EPA rejects chlorpyrifos rule objections

The EPA is not budging on its new chlorpyrifos rules. The agency denied all objections, hearing requests, and requests to stay the final rule Monday.  The new rule was issued in August of last year and revokes all tolerances for the pesticide on food.  EPA issued the rule saying it could not determine there is reasonable certainty of no harm from exposure to the chemical.
