Soil health research links increased carbon to better drought protection

New research by the Soil Health Institute is working to measure soil organic carbon and its water retention properties to better combat drought. RFA: ethanol exports drop during March

U.S. ethanol exports during March were 125.1 million gallons, 13% less than in February. The Renewable Fuels Association says that was the lowest total for the month of March in six years. Ethanol production up as stocks dip

U.S. ethanol production moved modestly higher last week. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 969,000 barrels a day, up 6,000 on the week and 17,000 on the year, with producers encouraged by solid margins. According to Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Development, those margins did tick slightly lower, but remained in positive territory.
