Chris Edgington tells Brownfield on his farm in northern Iowa, “We have not turned a wheel. We haven’t put any corn in the ground, we haven’t put any beans in the ground. It has been cold and damp.” But, he says North Dakota corn farmers could be facing […]

Those losses in bean oil were a combination of profit taking and the speculation that Indonesia’s ban on palm oil exports will end in May. Past that – the trade continues to monitor global vegetable oil […]

Vance Johnson grows corn, soybeans, wheat and sugarbeets near Breckenridge, Minnesota and says planting plans might be changing after a late April snow. “The fact that wheat was actually at a decent price this year, I debated putting maybe more wheat in just to help spread the workload out. I tend to stay pretty consistent with what I have, but […]

EPA approves E15 waiver, economists expect little ag impact

The EPA has issued an emergency waiver allowing sales of E15 this summer, fulfilling an announcement made by President Biden in mid-April. But, University of Missouri ag economist Ben Brown doesn’t expect the approval to be too impactful […]

The dairy index for March was up 4.9% on the month and 50% on the year, with an all milk price of $25.90 per hundredweight, a jump […]
