The latest USDA crop report says there were fewer than two days suitable because of freezing temperatures and snow showers. The pace of spring wheat planting is a little ahead of normal in South Dakota. USDA’s latest crop progress report says as of Sunday, 25 percent of the crop is planted compared to the five-year average of 22 percent. Emergence is slightly behind normal at 1 percent.
