USDA provides additional organic transition assistance

USDA has announced new resources for the organic industry as part of its Organic Transition Initiative. The Agricultural Marketing Service is offering up to $75 million in grants to help expand and improve domestic organic markets. The Farm Service Agency will also now cover up to 75 percent of producer costs associated with becoming certified organic.
