USDA opens more grant programs to expand local meat processing

The USDA has opened two additional grant programs to support local meat and poultry processing expansion. The agency has made $125 million available for the programs designed to improve processing infrastructure in tribal nations and areas with small and underserved farmers and ranchers. CNH Industrial leaves Russia

CNH Industrial, the manufacturer of Case industrial equipment and the Case IH and New Holland agricultural lines is divesting its business in Russia. CME milk futures down, cash dairy prices up Friday

Milk futures were mostly lower in the near term and cash dairy prices were higher Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. May Class III milk was down $0.14 at $17.32.  June was unchanged at $18.01.  July was down $0.01 at $18.55.  August was down $0.06 at $19.10.  September through March contracts ranged from unchanged in November to four cents higher in December.
