City Budget Meetings Begin Tonight

The first of the City Council Fiscal Year 19/20 budget hearings will be held Monday, Jan. 14 at 5:30 PM in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 415 Blondeau St. Departments presenting and being reviewed that evening will be:

Wastewater Treatment, Public Works, Airport, Bridge, Cemetery, Parks, including the aquatic center, Sanitation, Sewer, Streets, Community Development, Mayor and Council, City Attorney, Data Processing and Municipal Building

These meeting are open to the public, however, no public comment will be taken at this time. Once a preliminary budget has been adopted, copies will be made available at the library and city hall for the public to view.

Prior to final approval of the budget, the City Council will hold a public hearing and receive comments at that time.

The second meeting will be Monday, Jan. 28 at 5:30 PM.
