‘City of Christmas’ Seeking Photos of Displays
The 30th annual display of the City of Christmas is now history and planning has begun for the 31st display that will run Nov. 28 through Dec. 26, 2019.
As part of gearing up for the 2019 display, City of Christmas is revamping its website with help from webmaster, Becky Brandenburger.
The committee is looking for photos and videos of the 2018 display and from the previous few years so that they can appear on the website, www.cityofchristmas.org.
“While many photos from previous year’s displays are on the City of Christmas website we don’t have many from more recent years’ displays,” said Jean Meyer, City of Christmas volunteer. “We’d like to update the website with new photos and videos and know that many people take photos each year so are asking for their help in updating the site.”
Credit will be given to the photographer if their photos or videos are used on the website.
Those who have photos or videos they’re willing to share are asked to contact Meyer at either 319-524-1127 or at City of Christmas, P. O. Box 73, Keokuk, IA 52632.
City of Christmas is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers. The annual display is totally funded by donations. Donations may be sent to P. O. Box 73, Keokuk, Iowa 52632. In addition sponsorships of various displays are available. Those interested in becoming City of Christmas sponsors should contact Meyer for more information.
