Kevin D. Miller, 68, of Keokuk, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
He was born December 20, 1957, in Keokuk, the son of Dale Floyd and June Colleen Farnsworth Miller. Kevin graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1976.
Kevin was employed by Rite Price Lumber until they closed. He moved to Quincy, IL where he worked for Bayview Building Supply. He then returned to Keokuk and worked for the Keokuk Community School District, where he was a custodian for three years before his retirement.
Kevin enjoyed walking and taking in the sites of Keokuk as well as gathering history of his hometown. He photographed many of Keokuk’s historical buildings and endorsed several businesses.
He is survived by five sisters, Carolyn Underwood of Keokuk, Joyce (John) Vaughn of Keokuk, Andrea (Randy) Schwiete of Keokuk, Barbara (Mark) Schlotter of Canton, Missouri, and Tina (Steve) Reinoehl of Keokuk, brother-in-law Tom Kohlmorgan along with many nieces and nephews and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Cindy Frueh, Deborah “Debbie” Kohlmorgan, and Linda Diane in infancy; and a brother-in-law, Roger Underwood.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to God’s Way Christian Center.
