Marie Thelma Wilson, 68, of Keokuk, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at her home in Keokuk.

Marie was born on December 1, 1957, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Anthony and Marcella (Kruse) Krogmeier. She graduated from Fort Madison High School, and on October 6, 2012, she was united in marriage to Rickie Lee Grisham in Keokuk. He survives. Marie was employed at River Hills Village, The Elks Lodge 106, Lumpy’s and Rascals. She was known for being one of the best bartenders in Keokuk, making friends with everyone and focusing on exceptional service. She was a great host, the perfect blend of a sweet and spicy personality. She knew how to have fun and brought the party wherever she went. People gravitated towards her, and she made sure nobody was ever left out. In the quiet moments of her life, she enjoyed cooking, tending to her garden, and spending time with her family. She was an active member of her community, and was a member of the Elks, the Southside Boat Club, the Hamsters Motorcycle Club, and the “Safety Meeting” Club. Marie will always be remembered by the love she had for those around her.

Marie is survived by her husband Rickie Grisham of Keokuk; her daughter Danielle Yonek of North Royalton, Ohio; three grandchildren: Kenzie (Brian) Sprute of Louisiana, Cristian Yonek of Ohio and Cathryn Yonek of Ohio; two great-grandchildren: Isabelle Wellman and Brianna Sprute, both of Louisiana; her stepdaughter Ricklee (Cory) Nelson of Louisville, Kentucky; four siblings: Carol (Paul) Brown of Nauvoo, Illinois, Keith (Lollie) Krogmeier of Fort Madison, Gene Moore of Fort Madison, and Marci (Dave) Adams of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Judy Krogmeier, her brother Bill Moore, her sister-in-law Pat Moore, her niece Kristin Smith and her nephew Andrew Krogmeier.

A celebration of life will be held at the Sneezy Beaver at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to Marie’s grandchildren in care of Danielle Yonek.

DeJong-Printy Funeral Home of Keokuk is in charge of arrangements.
