Pet Pictures with Santa

It’s that time of the year again, time to Picture Your Pet with Santa! As in years past Krichel Animal Hospital and Friends of Keokuk Animals (FOKAS) are teaming up to offer Picture Your Pet with Santa photos at Krichel Animal Hospital, 1912 Main Street on Friday, December 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, December 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. 

For a donation to FOKAS and the “Gentle Doctor in memory of Dr. Tom Hutchcroft” fund, those participating will receive one 4 x 6 photo with a digital copy emailed to them. 

The “Gentle Doctor in memory of Dr. Tom Hutchcroft” fund was established two years ago to help provide critical emergency care for Keokuk pets whose families might not otherwise be able to afford care.

“FOKAS is working with ‘Santa’Anthony and Krichel Animal Hospital to make sure all good dogs, cats, and other pets can sit on Santa’s lap, get a photo taken and whisper in Santa’s ear just what they’re hoping will appear under the tree this year,” said Jean Meyer, FOKAS volunteer. 

“Krichel Animal Hospital is currently taking appointments for either December 7th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm or December 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Those interested should call Krichel Animal Hospital at 319-524-6835 for more information or to schedule their appointment. Santa will accommodate walk-ins if scheduling allows.”

“We hope lots of people will take advantage of this opportunity to picture their pet with Santa and help FOKAS help the animals at the same time,” Meyer said. Meyer would also like to remind ‘pet parents’ that their animals must be on a leash or in a carrier.

Friends of Keokuk Animals is a 501(c)3 tax-deductible animal welfare organization established in 2002 to provide services such as the Spay/Neuter Program to low-income families of Keokuk, assist in providing critical emergency care, and to provide humane education in the schools and for the public to promote responsible animal care.
