Scott Jeffrey Edwards, 61, of Fort Madson, IA, passed away on Saturday, March 21 at 9:53 PM as a result of an accident. He was born on July 12, 1964 in Fort Madison, IA to Donald D. & Nancy S. Brunow Edwards. He graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1982. He did building maintenance for Lee County for many years and recently went to work for TNT Greenhouses. He was a volunteer firefighter for Denmark Fire & Rescue and formerly served as the president of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit. He married Tedra D. Olson on October 7, 2000 in Dallas City, IL at Grace Bible Church. He loved to barbeque and was a past Kansas City Barbeque Society judge. He enjoyed being outdoors & watching Iowa Football and Iowa Women’s Basketball. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family & friends. He was known for always helping people in need of anything.
Scott is survived by: his wife: Tedra Edwards of Fort Madison, IA; 3-sons: Sheldon Edwards of Iowa City, IA, Trevor & Trey Edwards both of Fort Madison, IA and his parents: Don & Nancy Edwards of Fort Madison, IA. He was preceded in death by: 1-brother: Todd Edwards & his father & mother-in-law: Raymond & Pamela Olson.
Cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Dean Graber officiating. A memorial has been established in Scott’s memory.
