“The First Purge” explodes into theaters July 4

Universal(LOS ANGELES) — Opening nationwide Wednesday:

* The First Purge — The fourth installment of The Purge franchise serves as prequel and highlights the events leading up to the first annual “Purge,” a 12-hour period in which all crime in America is legal.

The movie, starring Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Velez and Marisa Tomei, is Rated R.
