Trash and Recycling Pickup Updates

Due to the dangerous arctic temperatures and the temporary closing of the Great River Regional Waste Authority landfill, the City of Fort Madison did not collect Route B’s recycling on Wednesday, Jan. 30. Route B will be collected on Wednesday, Feb. 6, along with Route A recycling. Please contact the City of Fort Madison at 319-372-7700 if you have questions.

Also as a result, the City of Keokuk Sanitation Department was unable to make scheduled pickups today. The Department will make double pickups on Thursday, Jan. 31. Wednesday and Thursday route residents should have their containers to the curb by 7 AM to accommodate the double pick up.
