At the Lee county Board of supervisors meeting Tuesday morning, county auditor Denise Fraise swore in new sheriff’s deputy Tom Olbermann. Olbermann had been the police chief in Donnellson until earlier this month. The board also approved the immediate hire of another deputy as there was an unexpected vacancy that took place last week. Ryanne Wood of the Health Department updated the board on several changes that are taking place with the SEIL mental health agreement with 8 other counties. The board of supervisors was scheduled to get an update on the Mooar/Powdertown situation but Rosa Haukedahl had to reschedule as she is still gathering information from residents regarding how many have converted their septic systems.
