47% of Indiana corn, soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA says another week of warm and dry conditions added to a growing concern for Indiana’s corn and soybean crops.

Both crop conditions decreased last week with 47 percent of corn and soybeans rated good to excellent.

Three percent of the corn crop is silking, and four percent of soybeans are blooming.

Winter wheat is rated 71 percent good to excellent with 82 percent of the crop mature and 21 percent harvested.
