Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Illinois has a brand new residence hall that is set to open before classes begin again this fall. Construction began last month on the Carolyn L and Robert W Brown residence hall which came with a price tag of 3 million dollars. The structure will contain suite style apartments as well as an educational wing with four classrooms. Culver-Stockton VP of Advancement Bill Sheehan stated that this project could not have come together at a better time with enrollment at its highest level in 20 years at the private liberal arts college. The funding for the residence hall was boosted by a $400,000  match grant from the JE and LE Mabee Foundation as well as a 1 million dollar donation for the naming rights to the building.
