(LOS ANGELES) — After one season, Fox has decided to cancel 24: Legacy, starring Corey Hawkins, but the 24 franchise will reportedly live on.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox is looking at another way to revive the 24 franchise after the 12-episode Legacy series ended with just 6.3 million total viewers, following a 17.6 million post-Super Bowl debut.

Fox is said to be in discussion with the show’s producers, Howard Gordon and Brian Grazer, who are reported to, “be very involved — for a new anthological take on the franchise.”

The new potential reboot, however, will not include Legacy stars Hawkins or Jimmy Smits.

Fox’s 24 ran for eight seasons before it was resurrected with original star Kiefer Sutherland for an event series entitled 24: Live Another Day. Then in 2017, Fox added 24: Legacy, which was built around Hawkins and told a new story. Sutherland did not return to the series, but was credited as an executive producer.
