Crop protection challenges heading into growing season

Farmers are encouraged to plan accordingly as supply chain disruptions impact the crop protection marketplace.

BASF technical service representative Vince Davis says there are a lot of challenges going into spring.

“And my biggest thing to encourage growers is to plan ahead, plan ahead, plan ahead. That starts with making sure you have a plan to not only tackle tar spot, but tackle all of the other foliar leaf diseases, and then just manage the crop all the way throughout the season.”

He tells Brownfield growers can get off on the right foot by choosing the right hybrid, the right fertility package, and the right agronomics.
