Biofuels leaders agree robust, consistent policy needs to support decarbonization goals

Leaders from the biofuels industry say the dialog between biofuels and refining communities is changing as efforts increase to decarbonize the economy.

Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor says the U.S. simply cannot achieve its climate goals without biofuels.

“The latest government projection is that 79 percent of new vehicle sales in 2050 will be using liquid fuels, so we have got to decarbonize our liquid fuel—that happens with biofuels,” she says.
