A third case of highly pathogenic avian influenza has been confirmed in Nebraska.

The Nebraska Department of Agriculture and USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service say a flock of 400,000 broilers has been infected close to where the first case was reported on March 16th.

The farm in Butler County is being depopulated and a control zone of more than six miles has been established.
