Minnesota farmer says spring weather “on par” for his state

A Minnesota farmer who grows corn and soybeans south of the Twin Cities says this spring has been “pretty on par for Minnesota.”

Brent Mohn of Lakeville tells Brownfield cool, wet conditions have slowed planting progress.

“We’ve had short bursts to get as much done as possible, and then sit around and wait again.”

He says they’re down to one field of soybeans and crops are emerging.

“I think the corn got told a bad joke.
