MO farmers planting in cool, dry conditions

Missouri farmers made good planting progress in the last week, but USDA says conditions are cooler and drier than normal.

The latest Crop Progress and Conditions report says temperatures are at least five degrees below normal in Missouri and moisture is averaging three-quarters of an inch below normal for this time of the year.

For Missouri, 80% of corn planting is complete, an increase of 22 percentage points from the previous week.
