Among the different tools we have available, there is one that raises a lot of attention: precision feeding. That’s because it seems to play a major role when it comes to feeding pigs more efficiently, minimizing feeding costs, and decreasing the carbon footprint of productions through tailored nutrition strategies. However, how far are we regarding its in our commercial barns? To discuss such an exciting topic, we talk with Dr. Aline Remus, a specialist on that subject. Dr. Remus’s research interests include using mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence for improved estimates of individual amino acid requirements of pigs and for early disease detection.
