Conference Committee agrees to Minnesota Agriculture Budget

A conference committee has reached agreement on the ag budget with two weeks remaining in the Minnesota Legislative Session.

Speaking to Brownfield before an agreement was announced, House Agriculture Committee chair Samantha Vang said most of the differences between the House and Senate version boiled down to funding.

“So I think those can be resolved very quickly and hopefully we get to see the conference committee (move to) adoption.”

In a news release Wednesday, Minnesota Corn Growers public policy director Amanda Bilek said a concerning provision in the House bill involving seed treatments did not make it into the final agreement.
