Bunge, Nutrien announce low-carbon alliance

A new alliance between Nutrien Ag Solutions and Bunge will support soybean farmers’ carbon reduction efforts.

Dr. Sally Flis leads Nutrien’s sustainable agriculture team.

“What is the carbon intensity score associated with soybean production in some areas that we’ve selected in Iowa and Indiana? And how can we then in subsequent cropping seasons work with these growers to continue to drive down that carbon intensity score?” she says.

Flis says the program will track every practice in the field and allow for greater sustainability transparency throughout the supply chain while providing farmers with more profitability.
