Strengthening verification of animal-raising claims

One of the jobs of the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is to make sure products that are labeled with certain animal-raising claims are actually raised in that manner. 

Sandra Eskin, undersecretary for USDA’s FSIS says the USDA’s has announced plans to implement a multi-step effort to strengthen the verification of those claims consumers see on labels.
