Hamilton Community Center Open House Sunday

The city of Hamilton is unveiling its brand new renovated community center this weekend. Sunday from noon to 4PM the community center will hold an open house and will be open for business immediately thereafter. As of Monday the final step, landscaping, was being performed on the old VFW Hall at 1680 Keokuk Street. The city also announced the rental rates for the community center which are 100 dollars to use the banquet room with kitchen use or 75 dollars without the kitchen. The meeting room rate will be 75 dollars with kitchen and 50 dollars without. According to Mayor Steve Lowman, who initiated the project, the banquet room will hold over 125 people while the meeting room will hold 50.
