A near seasonal pattern ahead for the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across much of the country.

Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to western Washington and an area stretching from the mid-South to the mid-Atlantic, while drier-than-normal weather should be limited to northern and central California and the northern Great Basin.
