Allan Robert Jungles, 85, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his home in rural Warsaw.
Allan was born on August 27, 1939, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Alex and Anna Frieda (Blasing) Jungles. He graduated from Breman High School in Midlothian, Illinois, in 1957. On October 25, 1958, he was united in marriage to Sandra Hatke in Midlothian, Illinois. She survives.
Allan was employed for Nicor Gas until his retirement in 1995, then worked at crop productions for ten years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Harley-Davidson Owner’s Group. He loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, his Jeeps and woodworking. Some of his favorite memories were making horseradish, homemade wine and homemade sausage in his workshop with family and friends while listening to Polka music on his cassettes.
Allan is survived by his wife Sandra Jungles of Warsaw; three children: Kimberly (Terry) Jungles Paustian of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, Mike (Diana) Jungles of Hamilton, Illinois, and Lynn (Todd) Jungles Miller of Kahoka, Missouri; three siblings: Pat (Wayne) Jungles Reynolds of Duluth, Minnesota, and Chuck Jungles and Mary Kay Jungles, both of Midlothian, Illinois; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Allan is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10 am to 12 pm (Noon) at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 12:30 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw directly following visitation. Burial at a later date will be held at Wythe Presbyterian Cemetery in Wythe Township.
Memorials may be directed to Lee County Hospice or P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter.
