Lower diesel fuel prices are prompting more farmers to fill their tanks. Now that Harvest is over I'm trying to get the Corn on Corn ground worked to helps residue break-down faster and get the wet bottom ground filtrated. I rented neighbors, 2700 disk ripper, to do a 1 pass fall tillage. Looking back it probably would have been better to hit the stalks with a stalk chopper to break them down a bit before hitting them with a ripper. We'll see […]
